We will feature surf kayaks, wave-skis, SUPs, and sea kayaks are expanding the competition in order to accommodate the demand from sea kayakers and intermediate-level competitors.

Competition

Each participant registers for an event division that is defined by

    • Novice

The competition occurs over two and a half days. Each day is broken up into a series of 20 minute heats where 3-5 paddlers will compete together seeking the highest scores from the judges. A panel of 3 judges and a head judge assign scores to each wave the competitor catches and performs maneuvers on (see more on scoring below.) Each event division has at least a semi-final and final heat to decide a winner. Divisions with more competitors may also have qualifying heats.

If you are a sea kayaker and can catch waves and create rides, then you are ready to compete at the intermediate level.
